Semmens Lab
As a research lab in the Center for Marine Biodiversity & Conservation, we primarily study fish, fisheries, and conservation. We combine rigorous field science, cutting-edge quantitative tools, and collaboration with stakeholders and management agencies to support marine ecosystems and the people who depend on them.
Research at the interface of ecology, technology, and conservation
The Semmens Lab conducts rigorous science in the field and the lab. We seek to advance scientific methods to address the pressing challenges facing our oceans.
Quantitative Ecology
Lab members use tools such as time series analysis, state-space models, and cutting edge environmental DNA.
